Privacy
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Telly processes information when you create local travel stories, export videos, use account features, view ads, or use paid features.
1. Who operates Telly
Telly is operated by Klodian Kambo ("Telly", "we", "us", or "our").
For privacy questions or requests, contact telly.info.ba@gmail.com.
2. Scope
This policy applies to the Telly Android and iOS applications and the Telly account website. It covers local story creation, media import, optional route recording, video preview and export, advertising, purchases, subscriptions, eligible cloud video backup, authentication, and account deletion.
The current version of Telly does not provide a social feed, public posts, or sharing of stories with other Telly users.
3. Information we process
Account and authentication
If you sign in, we process a Firebase user identifier and account information supplied by your sign-in method, which may include your email address, display name, profile image, and authentication metadata. Firebase Authentication handles passwords; Telly cannot read them. Guest use does not create a cloud account.
Local stories, media, and location
Editable drafts, source photos and videos, imported metadata, route tracks, settings, and local exports are stored on your device. With your permission, Telly can read media dates and embedded location metadata. Optional route recording uses precise or approximate device location while that feature is active.
Telly does not upload source photos, source videos, route drafts, or the editable story graph as part of ordinary story editing or export.
Eligible cloud video backup
If your account plan includes cloud backup and the feature is enabled, Telly can upload a completed exported video, an optional cover image, and a compact playable-story manifest. The manifest contains metadata needed for playback, such as title, duration, stop and segment timestamps, travel configuration, and stop coordinates. This backup is private to the signed-in account.
Purchases, subscriptions, and virtual coins
RevenueCat processes product identifiers, transaction and subscription history, entitlement status, store environment, and the Telly Firebase user identifier to provide and restore paid access. Firebase stores a server-side entitlement mirror, virtual coin balance, coin transactions, usage limits, and pending operation authorizations. Telly does not receive full payment-card details.
Advertising and consent
Non-premium experiences may display Google Mobile Ads. Depending on your consent, region, and device settings, Google can process IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, advertising or app-set identifiers, ad and product interactions, app launches, taps, video views, and SDK diagnostics for advertising, measurement, security, and fraud prevention. Telly uses Google's consent tools where required.
Maps, search, and technical data
Android uses Google Maps for the editor map and Android geocoding services for place searches. iOS uses Apple MapKit, Core Location, and Apple geocoding services. These providers can receive map requests, search text, location when needed for a requested feature, and ordinary device or network information.
Firebase Functions and related network services process authentication tokens, IP address, timestamps, request metadata, errors, and security logs to operate the service, enforce limits, prevent abuse, and investigate failures. Telly does not currently use Firebase Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics.
4. How and why we use information
We process information only where it is needed to:
- authenticate accounts and protect sessions;
- create, edit, render, export, save, and play travel stories;
- import media metadata and record routes after permission is granted;
- provide private cloud backup to eligible accounts;
- provide purchases, restore access, maintain virtual coins, and prevent fraud;
- show and measure advertising, subject to consent and regional requirements;
- provide support, diagnose failures, enforce quotas, and secure the service;
- comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, and platform requirements.
Depending on your location and the feature involved, the legal basis is performance of our agreement with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in providing and protecting Telly, or compliance with a legal obligation. You can withdraw consent for optional permissions or advertising choices through the app or device settings, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
6. Retention and deletion
- Local drafts, source references, route tracks, preferences, and exports remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall Telly.
- Eligible cloud videos, covers, and playback manifests remain until you delete the playable story, delete your account, or the applicable plan or service policy requires removal.
- Account, wallet, entitlement, usage-limit, and authorization records remain while your account exists and are removed when the account is deleted, unless limited retention is required for security, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
- Temporary operation records and security logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to complete the operation, enforce limits, diagnose incidents, and protect the service.
- Google, Apple, RevenueCat, and advertising providers apply their own retention obligations to data they process independently, including store transaction records.
Account deletion
Signed-in users can permanently delete their account from Telly account settings or through the public self-service account-deletion page. The deletion covers the Firebase account, Telly-controlled account-scoped cloud data, and the linked RevenueCat customer record, subject to identity verification and records that service providers or law require to be retained.
Deleting a Telly account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscriptions must be managed in the relevant store. Store transaction records and records retained by service providers for fraud, tax, accounting, dispute, or legal purposes can remain under their respective policies. Files stored only on a device cannot be erased remotely.
7. Your choices and rights
You can decline media or location permissions, change permissions in device settings, update advertising consent where available, manage store subscriptions, remove local stories and exports, delete eligible cloud videos, sign out, or delete your account.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or erase your personal information and to complain to a data protection authority. Send requests to telly.info.ba@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
8. Security and international processing
Telly uses encrypted network transport, authenticated account-scoped access, server-side authorization, platform secure storage, restricted cloud rules, bounded backend instances, and idempotent destructive operations. No service can guarantee absolute security.
Firebase and other providers can process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Where required, processing is subject to contractual and legal transfer safeguards.
9. Children
Telly is intended for people aged 13 or older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact telly.info.ba@gmail.com so we can investigate and delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Telly, its providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required.
